Drive To Remember Fallen Officers | YouTube

About: From 2007 to 2010 we did a Police Memorial Drive from Vancouver BC to Washington DC to attend the annual US National Law Enforcement Memorial. The purpose of the Drive was to raise national awareness about line of duty deaths and honor the sacrifice of the officers. On the hood were displayed the names of US & Canadian officers killed in-the-line-of-duty in the previous year. Memorial stops were planned in cities and towns along the way; and family and friends were invited to sign a condolence beside their loved one’s name.

Many thanks to the various Police and Sheriff’s departments, and Blue Knight Chapters that provided escorts along the route of 5,100 miles through 17 states and 2 countries (22,000 miles total)

The 2007-8-9 Drives were sponsored by the TASER Foundation for Fallen Officers, founded by the benevolence of brothers Tom and Rick Smith (TASER) The last Drive in 2010 was sponsored by the generosity of one of the Drivers, Mr. Craig Prystay. The Drivers were Sgt Steve Gibson (ret Vancouver PD) Cst Tod Catchpole (Vancouver PD) and Mr Craig Prystay (RPB Hotels & Resorts).
